What is BACIC?

coming togetherBACIC (Beverage Alcohol Community Information Council) is the restaurant, bar, hospitality and tourism sectors coming together with a collective voice for Arizona's beverage alcohol industry through education, advocacy, public awareness and community outreach.

We are composed of Arizona companies and trade groups who share a common interest in providing information to Arizona communities about beverage alcohol issues. BACIC seeks to ensure that underage persons do not consume alcoholic beverages and impress upon adults the importance of treating alcohol products responsibly and in moderation. Represented in the ranks of BACIC are restaurants and bars, retail stores, distributors and suppliers, sports and social clubs, hospitality and tourism groups, and others who support its mission.

s

sTaking Action

Members of BACIC have devoted their financial resources, time and talent to create:

  • Underage drinking prevention programs
  • Responsible alcohol consumption education efforts
  • Beverage alcohol server training programs
  • Anti-drunk driving ad campaigns and public service announcements
  • Public awareness campaigns to encourage the use of designated drivers

sOur Mission

sBACIC seeks to promote community awareness and information about issues in our State related to the beverage alcohol industry, to ensure responsible and lawful consumption of alcoholic beverages, and to recognize the role that hospitality establishments play in our tourism industry and economy. BACIC supports well-designed and effective public policies that advance this mission without unreasonably restricting the options of those consumers who choose to enjoy alcoholic beverages responsibly and in moderation or adversely affecting the economic vitality of our state.
